Hiii! I’m Kaitlyn, the wanderlust-fueled soul behind Escapes by Kait. I grew up just outside the small village of Romeo, Michigan, and I still call the northern suburbs of Metro Detroit home with my husband, Shane. We’re your stereotypical DINKWADs who are completely obsessed with our two Australian Shepherds, Rosie and Lucy.
While most tourists collect postcards or fridge magnets from their travels, I collect tattoos. Each one is a reminder of a place that stole a piece of my heart. I love when people ask about them because it gives me the perfect opportunity to share stories from some of the incredible places I’ve explored. I always thought I’d follow in my grandpa’s footsteps and become a photographer, but the universe had other plans.
